My name is Dmitrii Zolotarev and I’m a software engineer and a programmer.

I like the C programming language, BSD Unix (FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD) and OpenSource. Now I use FreeBSD. Also I like a hacker culture in the pristine meaning of the term hacker. You can read about the meaning in “How to become a hacker” by Eric Steven Raymond and in greatest book “Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution” by Steven Levy. My respect to true hackers and my support of their values I express using the glider, a universal hacker emblem, on all my sites:

This is my blog about IT, programming, software engineering and Unix. Here I’ll publish various articles and tutorials on these and more other subjects which are interested for me.

All my code is licensed under an OpenSource licenses MIT, 2-Clause BSD, 3-Clause BSD or Apache 2.0 on my own repo and my Github profile. I sign my commits with this GPG key.
